London-based eclectic pop duo, Jungle, are based around a core musical duo of lifelong friends who expand to a thrilling seven piece live, and make mesmeric, kaleidoscopic modern soul that’s unmistakably born in the UK but has true global appeal.

Third Angle presents the premiere of their newly commissioned piece created in response to Portland’s changing cityscape, featuring electronic instrumentation and field recordings blended by artists Loren Chasse and Branic Howard.
22nd Annual Barleywine Festival
Saturday, Mar 9 • 11:00 AM • Lucky Labrador Beer Hall
Lucky Lab’s annual celebration of one of the biggest, maltiest, knock-you-on-your-ass-style beers in brewing history features over 70 varieties rotating through 20 taps Friday and Saturday. Admission includes a festival glass and four tokens, with additional four ounce pours for $2.25. The Lucky Lab sits right next to three bus lines, and the Portland streetcar, and this is mentioned because you definitely do not want to get in a car after sampling this malted heaven all day.
Buckman Arts Show & Sell
Sunday, Mar 10 • 11:00 AM • Buckman Elementary School
Featuring 120 artists and craftspersons selling new and original works, including paintings, furniture, textile, photography, and more, as well as activities for younger children, food carts, a silent auction and student performances on Sunday.
Out in Tech

A social gathering and networking opportunity and — if the description by the organizers is accurate — a chance to get in semi-drunken arguments over coding styles with LGBTQ members of Portland’s tech industry, and people who are thinking maybe they’d like to get into that industry.

Compton rapper YG is the sound of West Coast g-funk circa 2014, offering hard but relaxed jams that are effective slices of life as well as being club bumpers to boot.
